Nepal The initial core team in Nepal which is just Bro Prakash alone as the member and with another 5-6 people who are willing to be trained to be member is set up. We had many challenges to face in starting up the church in Kathmandu. First of all, many of the people in the initial core team had no job. They are not from Kathmandu but from other villages, but because they want to start a church in Kathmandu, they are willing to leave their village to come to Kathmandu. Secondly, the cost of living in Kathmandu is very high compare to the minimum wage earned. The wage earned may not be sufficient for the day to day expenses, like transport fare, food and rent for their room. (In Nepal family only rent room, as it is cheaper. They cook and live in the same room.) Thirdly, insufficient finance to get a place for Saturday service (service is on Saturday as Sunday is a working day in Nepal). With the offering that Prakash received from his close friends, he still managed to survive without job for 2-3 months. We also have found a place to run service. Even though the place at the moment is not so comfortable as it is a small shop lot, but it can fit 30 to 40 people. The Hope of God Nepal church is officially started on the 4th November at 11.00am. The service had about 30 attendance, mostly are family of the pastor that joined us, Ps. Mon Kumar. Ps. Mon Kumar gave his rented shop lot for the church to run service and sangathi. We had 4 –5 non-believers to join us in that service. Please pray for the church and the people in the core team:- 1. To look for another suitable place, especially in Koteswor as it is in Central Kathmandu as the current rented place in Samagochi will only be available for another 3 months. 2. That all the people in the core team are able to get good job and sufficient wages for the day to day living and financing the church. 3.
